The White Feather is a purely personal way of expressing a certain set of human values. When more people start to wear it, they can recognize each other and feel stronger through the connection with others, and maybe even get the courage to start working on change.
It also gives a signal to others not to be afraid of you. There is so many extreme thinking and intolerance around, that people rather not express themselves. The White Feather might open the door for more communication.
Wearing it also reminds yourself of what you stand for. In moments of anger or frustration, it can urge you to take a breath and to look for peace.
